Title:
METHOD FOR CUTTING-CRUSHING EDGE OF NONMETALLIC INORGANIC PLATE MATERIAL AND BREAKING SAW USED THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10286804
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To make it possible to continue the use of a crushing blade even when it does not cut well by using a breaking saw equipped with a breaking blade mounted coaxially on one face of a circular saw-like leading blade and a circular saw-like finishing blade mounted coaxially on the opposite face and with a difference between the radius of the leading blade and the radius of the finishing blade being larger than a specific length.

The cutting blade part of a breaking saw 1 for a nonmetallic inorganic plate material comprises a circular saw-like leading blade 2 and a circular saw-like finishing blade 4 stacked on each other coaxially, combined with a crushing blade 3. The radius of the finishing blade 4 is set smaller than that of the leading blade 2 and the difference 5 between both radii is set to be 10 mm or longer. As long as the breaking saw is new and therefore, cuts well, the leading blade 2 cleanly cuts the edge piece of the edge part of the nonmetallic inorganic plate material at the final stage of a cutting/crushing process of the edge part. When the crushing blade 3 does not cut well, the break section often is found on the edge part side rather than on a line on which some part of the plate material is scheduled to be later cut by the finishing blade 4. However, the part where the break section exists is once again cut by the finishing blade 4 and simultaneously, the break section generated by the leading blade 2 is cut once again by the finishing blade 4. Consequently, the life of the breaking saw 1 is prolonged.
