Abstract:

To deliver medicine to a patient requiring it while avoiding the occurrence of a harmful side effect known or suspected to be caused by medicine.

In this method, before it is approved that the patient receives the medicine, a computer-readable storage medium is examined, and a prescription of the medicine is provided only after it is convinced that a prescription preparing person, a pharmacy and the patient are properly registered in the medium. The patient is selected as a risk group on the basis of a risk that the intake of the medicine causes a side effect, and a certain kind of additional information providing the proof of the risk of the ongoing side effect occurrence, e.g. periodic examination and a diagnostic test result can be obtained before the approval of the prescription of the medicine.
