Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable a closed location to be accurately specified by a method wherein closing or clogging with powder is detected in response to the pipe temperature, the flow rate indicated value and the degree of opening of a flow rate valve.
CONSTITUTION: This detecting method monitors each of a variation in degree of opening of an air flow rate adjusting valve 12 in respect to measured flow rate values of blowing air flow rate meters 5, 6, a variation in temperature in each of air blowing pipes 14 to 17 in respect to B measured powder fuel temperature, and variation in a rate of measured flow rate values of each of the air flow rate meters 5, 6 in respect to the entire air flow rate value, respectively. Then, each of them is compared with each of a desired characteristic of air flow rate and the degree of opening, a temperature characteristic of each of desired power fuel temperature and air blowing pipes 14 to 17 and a characteristic of a desired entire air flow rate and each of the air flow rates, respectively. With such an arrangement as above, the closed or clogged location of an air blowing and transporting pipe 19 of a hot blast furnace of powder fuel is detected. With such an arrangement as above, it is possible to specify accurately the closed or clogged location.
