Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR COVERING POWDER AND GRAIN CONVEYED THROUGH PIPE BY AIR CURRENT WITH ADHESIVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3919386
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent blockage of a transport pipe line from occurring by supplying an inert gas from a specified spot to the inside of the transport pipe so that an inert gas current is formed all the time in a curtain fashion between a jet injected adhesive and the internal wall face of the transport pipe, when the adhesive is ejected into the transport pipe for powder and grain to cover the powder and grain with the adhesive.
SOLUTION: In a device 10 for covering powder and grain with an adhesive, the powder and grain 14 such as wood fibers is conveyed in a Z-axial direction, i.e., from the left to the right in the center axial direction of a transport pipe 11 by a high pressure air current. Then the adhesive 13 is spewed into the interior of the transport pipe 11 from an adhesive jet nozzle 12. In this case, six steam jet nozzles 15a are provided slightly downstream from the adhesive jet nozzle 12 and a steam 16 made up of water vapor or atomized water droplets is spewed as an inert gas from the nozzles 15a. Thus a steam curtain is formed by interposing a steam 16 layer between the adhesive 13 flowing through the transport pipe 11 and the internal wall of the transport pipe 11 and thereby, prevents the liquid droplets of the adhesive 13 from adhering to the internal wall surface of the transport pipe 11.
