Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simplify constitution and to allow the inexpensive dispersion, transmission and modulation of light information by using the solid emulsion semiconductor cell having the composite dielectric structure constituted of a dispersion medium consisting of a porous solid and a liquid dispersion phase. CONSTITUTION:This device has a polarizer which converts the laser beam radiated from a laser beam source to linearly polarized light 1, a 1st lens 3 which converges the linearly polarized light 1, a shape filter 4 which is disposed at the focal position of the 1st lens, a 2nd lens 5 which converts the linearly polarized light 1 transmitted therethrough to collimated beams of light, the solid emulsion semiconductor cell 6 which is so disposed as to be made incident with the linearly polarized light 1 collimated by this lens, a quarter wave length plate 7 which rotates the plane of polarization of many beams of the linearly polarized light 1 radiated therefrom, an analyzer 8 which detects the linearly polarized light 1 transmitted therethrough, and a 3rd lens which images the linearly polarized light 1 detected by this analyzer 8 to a prescribed position. The scattered light in which the light information on the preservation of the plane of polarization and imaging characteristic is included is generated in this way and further, the molecular electrooptical control is possible. The constitution is thus simplified and the cost is reduced.
