PURPOSE: To support the development of control software which operates correctly, by making the relation between system state transition and state variables evident.
CONSTITUTION: The system state transition which is defined (101) with the direct product of plural element state values is inputted, and a combination of state variables as the viewpoint when the system state values are classified is inputted (105), and, the state values are grouped according to the state variables (102), and display positions for the system state values in the groups are calculated. The transition is displayed by a transition display method for N2 charts (140), and then the N2 charts corresponding to the respective groups are arranged in parallel, and a display (145) of transition ranging over plural groups is made without crossing a display area of the system state values.
