Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a template by which a high recognition rate can be obtained without manual operations.
SOLUTION: A learning pattern, including a training pattern, is read out of a learning pattern storage circuit 11 and inputted to a training pattern extracting circuit 12. The extracting circuit 12 reads in a previously generated template from a template storage circuit 14 and uses the read-out template to recognize the learning pattern. The training pattern is extracted by using a position and a category, with which high similarity is obtained and outputted to a template selecting circuit 13. The template-selecting circuit 13 selects a template by using the inputted training pattern. The selected template is stored in a template storage circuit 14. Furthermore, the newly storage template is used to repeat the operation, so that the template can be updated.
