Abstract:
To extract top (m) pieces of data fast after rearranging an all-order set consisting of (n) pieces of data in decending or ascending order.
In a sorting method of the present invention, top (m) pieces of data of the all-order set consisting of (n) pieces of data are rearranged in the decending or ascending order (first sorting step S1). Then (m+1)th and succeeding pieces of data on the all-order set are selected one after another and then rearrangement in the decending or ascending order is carried out using one selected piece of data and the top (m) pieces of data of the all-order set (second sorting step S2).
