Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain one sheet picture having no joints by calculating the extent of movement of each of picture element of a picture with which a designated corresponding points should coincide with each other and moving all the picture elements of this picture in accordance with the calculation result.
CONSTITUTION: After plural pairs of points to be connected on adjacent maps read in by an image scanner 10 are designated, points on the map to be corrected and those points on the other map are denoted as correction original points and correction destination points respectively, and correction vectors to make correction original points coincide with correction destination points are obtained. Correction vectors are multiplied by coefficients, which are inversely proportional to distances from correction destination points to respective picture elements of the picture after correction and the sum of which is one, to obtain the positions of picture elements of the picture before correction corresponding to respective picture elements of the picture after correction, and obtained values of picture element positions are set as values of corresponding picture elements of the picture after correction. Thus, pictures on plural adjacent drawings are accurately connected without positional deviation on the connection boundary to obtain one sheet picture having no joints.
