To provide a waste electrolyte treating device in which water in the waste electrolyte is treated and discharged, metal compounds can be recycled, and any chemicals such as a flocculant is not used for treating the waste electrolyte.
Distilled water obtained by transpiring or condensing water in the waste electrolyte is discharged by pouring the waste electrolyte in a decompression tank, and heating it with superheated steam which is induction- heated by a high frequency coil, and plating metal remaining in the tank is collected and recycled. The treating device comprises a rotary drum 1 having a decompression chamber 13 with a steam chamber 14 therearound, an inlet 23 and a vacuum suction outlet 22 of the waste electrolyte which are respectively opened in the compression chamber via rotary joints 19L and 18L, feed port and discharge port 39 and 40 of superheated steam opened to the steam chamber 14 via the rotary joints 18R and 19R, and a high frequency coil 32 provided on a steam feed pipe 30 connected to the feed port of the superheated steam.
