PURPOSE: To reduce the titled device in size by reserving a solvent for image formation on between rollers in contact, and passing a thermal development photosensitive material or image receiving material between the rollers and applying the solvent.
CONSTITUTION: The rollers 11A and 11B formed of an elastic material, such as silicone rubber, which repels water are brought into contact with each other. While the solvent 22 for image formation is supplied from a feed pipe 20 to the inverted triangular space on the rollers, the image receiving paper 10 is passed between the rollers 11A and 11B driven by an unshown motor to apply the solvent 22. Then, the thermal development photosensitive paper 13 and image receiving paper 10 are superposed one over another and passed between the rollers 12A and 12B, and pressed against each other, thereby transferring an original image from the thermal development photosensitive paper 13 to the image receiving paper 10. Consequently, the need for an independent solvent coating process is eliminated and the device is reduced in size.
