Title:
METHOD FOR DISTINGUISHING LIFE FROM DEATH BY PUTTING NUCLEIC ACID ASSAY TO USE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001299399
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To distinguish the life from the death of a cell by applying the assay of DNA and RNA both extracted from a specimen.

It is possible to exactly distinguish the life from the death of a cell by extracting DNA and RNA to be detected both derived from organisms of all kinds e.g. ranging from bacteria and fungi such as Eumycetes to animals, including human, and plants, and then by counting the respective molar numbers of the DNA and the RNA assayed e.g. by the quantitative PCR of the DNA and the quantitative RT-PCR of the RNA.
