Title:
METHOD FOR DYEING OF HAIR WITH WATER DISPERSIBLE COLORED POLYMER WITH SULFONIC GROUP AND HAIR DYEING COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08333225
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for conveniently, rapidly and safely color hair by coating non-permanent keratinous fibers, especially hair on the human scalp with a specific coloring polymer. SOLUTION: A sulfo-containing water-dispersible type coloring polymer containing a colorant moiety reacted into a carbonyloxy group and/or carbonylamide group skeleton of the polymer is used. The polymer contains 20-100 mol.% carbonyloxy linking groups and further 0-80 mol.% carbonylamide linking groups and the colorant is composed of a heat stable organic compound having condensable groups and contained in an amount of 1-40 mol.% based on the total of all reactant hydroxy, carboxy and amino and amino equivalents and the condensable derivatives thereof. The hair coloring composition containing the polymer is capable of carrying out non-permanent hair coloring. Although the coloring is readily removed with hot water, e.g. a shampoo, the polymer remarkably manifests resistance to redispersion in water at ambient temperature without causing flaking of hair or color rub-off.
