PURPOSE: To obtain a whitening agent excellent in skin whitening effect and preventing and treating stain or freckles due to sunburn, etc., and a skin cosmetic containing the agent.
CONSTITUTION: This skin cosmetic is obtained by blending 0.0001-10wt.%, preferably 0.001-5wt.% aminophosphonic acid derivative of the formula (R1 is phenyl, naphthyl, 3-indolyl, H, etc.; R2 is a lower alkyl or benzyl; A is an amino acid residue; (n) is 2 or 3) or its salt. N[N-3-Phenyl-1-phosphonopropyl]-L-leucyl]-L- tryptophan tricalcium salt is exemplified as the compound of the formula. The skin cosmetic is properly blended with arbitrary components used in conventional cosmetics, quasi-drug, medicine, etc., as other components and prepared in lotion, milky lotion, cream, ointment, stick, solution by organic solvents, pack or gel. The compound of the formula suppresses melanogenesis of melanocyte and exhibits excellent melanization preventing and improving effect.
