PURPOSE: To make it possible to utilize the waste heat of an exhaust gas as a heat source for vaporizing a liquefied natural gas, by dividing an exhaust gas generated by the combustion of a liquefied natural gas into two parts, subjecting one of them to a specified processing, then mixing it with the other, and discharging the mixture.
CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas from a boiler 1 or a gas turbine combustor in a liquefied natural gas (LNG) fired power plant is sucked by a fan 2 through a flue 3 and divided into an exhaust gas 4 and an exhaust gas 5 at a point A. The exhaust gas 4 is sent to a gas-liquid direct contact unit 6, where it is brought into direct contact with water to give hot water 7. The hot water 7 is sent to an indirect heat exchanger 8, where it undergoes indirect heat exchange with LNG supplied by a pump 10 from a storage tank 9 to vaporize the LNG. The vaporized LNG is supplied through a duct 11 to the boiler 1 or gas turbine for combustion. The exhaust gas after contact with water in the unit 6 is introduced into a gas-liquid separator 13, where dropiets of water are removed therefrom. It is then sent through a duct 14 to a point B, where it is mixed with the exhaust gas 5. The mixed exhaust gas is passed through a duct 15 and discharged from a chimney 16.
