PURPOSE: To simultaneously and smoothly execute grinding, washing and passivating by bringing metallic working members into contact with an aq. soln. contg. orthophosphoric acid and pyrophosphoric acid or their water-soluble salts and oligocarboxylic acids as effective components.
CONSTITUTION: The aq. soln. contg. the orthophosphoric acid and pyrophosphoric acid or their water-soluble salts, ≥1 kinds of the oligocarboxylic acids, and if necessary, ≥1 kinds of surfactants, ≥1 kinds of corrosion preventive agents and other active materials, washing compds., passive compds. and assistants to be used for slip grinding compds. and having a pH value of 1 to 6 is prepd. The metallic working members are brought into contact with this aq. soln. For example, this aq. soln. is injected to the working members or molded goods in a drum, etc. As a result, the metallic surfaces may be subjected to treatments, such as washing, descaling, passivating, edging, grinding, finishing, bright finishing and polishing, by the single and the same stage.
