PURPOSE: To obtain a lubricating liq. capable of providing superior lubricity to a metal surface in a reduced number of stages by adding specified amts. of a surfactant and a solid lubricant to a chemical treating soln.
CONSTITUTION: A reactive lubricating liq. is prepd. by adding 0.1W20g/l surfac tant and 10W500g/l solid lubricant to a chemical treating soln. properly selected according to the kind of metal to be treated. The chemical treating soln. may be a soln. of zinc phosphate, zinc phosphate-calcium, manganese phosphate or oxalic acid. A nonionic surfactant is preferably used as the surfactant. One or more among molybdenum disulfide, graphite, boron nitride, 'Teflon(R)' pow der, nylon powder, PE powder, etc., are used as the solid lubricant. About 1W50g/l water soluble high molecular compd. is further added as required.
