PURPOSE: To decrease a dull pattern transfer defect by applying decrease bending force to work rolls at the time of subjecting an extra-low carbon steel strip to die finish rolling.
CONSTITUTION: The decreased bending force is added to the work rolls or the work roll diameter is specified to ≥490mm and the dull patterns are transferred to the steel sheet at the time of subjecting the extra-low carbon steel strip having ≤0.005wt.% C to continuous annealing then to the dull finish rolling with an inline skin pass mill using the work rolls with the laser beam dull patterns. The dull patterns are otherwise transferred to the steel sheet by specifying the work roll diameter to ≥490mm. The exact transfer is executed on the steel sheet surface and the yield loss by the transfer defect of the dull patterns is decreased.
