Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a base material for an electrophotographic photoreceptor in which recess generation is suppressed on an outer peripheral surface.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a base material for an electrophotographic photoreceptor comprises: a preparing step of preparing a metal block made of aluminum or aluminum alloy having a polished surface applied with a lubricant; a lubricant applying step of applying the lubricant to the polished surface of the metal block; an impact press work step of molding the metal block into a cylindrical body by subjecting the metal block to impact press work using the polished surface applied with the lubricant as a bottom surface; and an ironing step of subjecting the cylindrical body to ironing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
