Abstract:

To provide a method for applying backing plating having a substantially specific-shaped recess-projection regardless of a shape of base metal in an electrodeposition tool manufacturing method for electrodepositing an abrasive grain after applying the backing plating having the recess-projection to the base metal of an electrodeposition tool.

For forming a plating coating film 11a having a plurality of recesses-projections on a grinding surface of the base metal 2, a synthetic resin bead 10 is electrodeposited and fixed to a surface of the base metal 2. Afterwards, the plating coating film 11a having the plurality of recesses-projections is formed on the surface of the base metal 2 by removing this bead 10, so that even in the electrodesposition tool of constituting a grinding surface shape of the bead 10 of the base metal 2 out of a three-dimensional curve and an inclined face, the plating coating film having the substantially specific-shaped recess-projection can be formed in a desired arrangement form.
