To provide a method for manufacturing a toner excellent in filming resistance and hot offset resistance and having single dispersibility of particle size.
A toner is obtained by the method for manufacturing the toner including: supplying a toner constituent liquid containing a toner composition containing at least a resin and a colorant to a reservoir section 1; discharging the toner constituent liquid from a plurality of through holes 4 arranged in the reservoir section into a granulation space while exciting the toner constituent liquid via the reservoir section by a vibration means 2 kept in contact with at least part of the reservoir section 1; forming the toner constituent liquid of a columnar state into liquid droplets through a constricted state; and turning the liquid droplets 13 into solid particles 15 in the granulation space, wherein the toner contains a reactive substance which increases the viscoelasticity of the resin in the toner composition.
