PURPOSE: To make the safe and accurate installation by sinking possible and to eliminate the influences of weather in the stage of measurement by mounting plural pieces of differential pressure gages along a structure to be sunk thereby detecting the accurate values of inclination and deflection of the structure instantaneously.
CONSTITUTION: Plural pieces of differential pressure gauges 2 are installed on the inside circumferential wall surface of a caisson 3 and the signals from the respective gages 2 are received, whereby the grade and deflection of the caisson 3 are measured. The gauges 2 are injected with liquid in right and left pipes 1, 1, convert the differential pressures by the vertical relative displacements when the right and left pipes 1 incline to change in electric current, draw out the changes and transmit the same. In this case, with the pipe 1 on one side of one gauge 2 as a reference, the respective measured values are added and the vertical displacement quantities at the respective points are obtained. Further, the vertical displacement quantities are processed by least square, whereby an ideal curve is obtained. When the max. and min. values obtd. by the ideal curve are connected with a straight line, the inclination in the measuring stage of the caisson 3 is obtained, and the difference from the actually measured values at the respective points and the quantities shown by the ideal curve are obtained, whereby the deflection quantity of the caisson 3 is obtained.
