Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a simple and reliable method capable of measuring the weight of the laundry fed into a laundry holding drum every time and harmonizing the process variable of a selected washing cycle so as to be adapted to the measured weight.
CONSTITUTION: Before the washing cycle is started, under the control of a microswitch, a drum is driven to rotate at normal washing speed first, then at a first speed (A) higher than that and then at a second speed (C) between the normal washing speed and a centrifugal dehydration speed without injecting water to the inside. Then, the drum is reduced so as to reach a third preset rotation speed (D) and a microprocessor measures the time of T3+T4 required for the drum to advance from the speed (A) to the speed (D). The time is accurately correlated to the actual weight of the laundry. Then, based on the measurement of the weight, the microprocessor adapts the entire washing and rinsing cycles to be executed next.
