Abstract:
To provide a method for polyethylene terephthalate which is not fused in drying and solid-phase polymerization.
This method for polyethylene terephthalate production is characterized in that when terephthalic acid or a dicarboxylic acid composed of its ester forming derivative and ethylene glycol or a dihydroxy compound composed of its ester forming derivative are subjected to condensation polymerization in a liquid phase to give a polyethylene terephthalate, which is pelletized, the polyethylene terephthalate in a funicular state extracted from a spinneret of a polymerizer is cooled and solidified, then brought into contact with a sheet or a molding having an unevenness, damaged and pelletized by a pelleteizer.
