Abstract:
To facilitate efficient reaction between trivalent manganese and phenols when preparing a dimer of phenols by reacting trivalent manganese with the phenols.
In a method for preparing the phenolic dimer, a solution containing the phenols is mixed with a solution containing trivalent manganese to prepare the phenolic dimer. The method comprises a first step of raising the liquid temperature of the solution containing trivalent manganese to 50C at a rate of 0.2C/sec within 5 min and a second step of immediately mixing and reacting the temperature-risen solution containing trivalent manganese with the solution containing the phenols.
