Abstract:
To provide a method for easily producing 4-aminobutyl aldehyde acetal in a high yield.
The method for producing 4-aminobutyl aldehyde acetal expressed by general formula (2) (where R1 and R2 each represents a methyl group or an ethyl group) comprises: subjecting acrolein acetal expressed by general formula (1) (where R1 and R2 each represents a methyl group or an ethyl group) to hydroformylation in the presence of a hydroformylation catalyst, carbon monoxide and hydrogen under the conditions of reaction pressure of 0.3 to 1.3 MPa and a reaction temperature of 100 to 140°C; and then subjecting the product to reductive amination in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst, ammonia and hydrogen.
