To provide a method for producing a heat-resistant insulating coating by immersing a conductor in a dispersion of a glass powder dispersed in a solvent, raising it, then heat-treating it, which uniformly forms a glass coating on the conductor surface without causing voids in the glass coating.
The method for producing a heat-resistant insulating coating comprises the steps of: immersing the conductor in the dispersion containing the glass powder with a maximum particle size of 60 μm or smaller dispersed in the solvent, in an amount of 30 to 70 wt.% by concentration; raising the conductor from the dispersion to form the coated film of the dispersion on the conductor surface; and subsequently heating it to remove the solvent in the coated film, melt the glass powder, and form a glass layer on the conductor surface.
