Abstract:
To provide an improved method for producing polycarbonate resin foam by which the foam having a sufficiently thick thickness is produced in high expansion ratio by extrusion foaming.
The method for producing polycarbonate resin foam involves melting and kneading a base resin obtained by mixing 100 pts.wt. aromatic polycarbonate resin with 0.3-10 pts.wt. acrylic resin having 100,000-400,000 viscosity average molecular weight in combination with a foaming agent by using an extruder under a high-temperature and high-pressure condition, and extruding and foaming the kneaded product in a low-pressure region.
