Abstract:
To provide a method for industrially advantageously producing a silyl ether.
The invention relates to the method for producing the silyl ether by reacting an alcohol and a hydrosilane compound in the presence of an alkyl substituted imidazolium salt containing a fluoride ion represented by formula (1). In the formula, R1 and R3 are each the same or different a (substituted)alkyl group, R2, R4 and R5 are each the same or different H or a (substituted)alkyl group. Y- is a monovalent anion excluding a fluoride ion. And x satisfies following relation 0<x≤1.
