Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manhours for measurements with actual equipment in creating a model that shows the behavior of an engine.
SOLUTION: The final model for estimating the engine behavior is created by the following procedures: first, a simulation model taking the physical properties of the engine into consideration is set; next, rough measurements are made with the actual equipment; then, a correction function is derived on the basis of a difference between simulation data and measurement data; and a physical model is combined with the correction function to obtain the final model. Using the final model, the final compatible value is determined.
