Abstract:

To provide a method for propargyl alcohol purification in which when a chlorine-containing compound is used as an extractant of propargyl alcohol for a mixed solution of water and propargyl alcohol, propargyl alcohol can be extracted in high purity while controlling admixture of the extractant with water and when the mixed solution is distilled by using the chlorine- containing compound, since water and the chlorine-containing compound can be azeotropically distilled away while controlling azeotrope of propargyl alcohol and water, high-purity propargyl alcohol not containing water can be obtained.

This method for propargyl alcohol purification is characterized by comprising a process for using a chlorine-containing compound as an auxiliary solvent and separating a propargyl alcohol component from a mixed solution containing propargyl alcohol and water.
