Abstract:
To provide a method for recovering DMSO of high quality by subjecting a liquid mixture such as DMSO waste liquid containing impurities such as salts of organic acids and hydroxides of alkali metals to a simple treatment and adjustment to allow the liquid mixture to be distilled.
In the method for recovering DMSO, organic acid components are removed by distillation of the DMSO liquid mixture containing the salts of organic acids under an acidic condition or the hydroxides of alkali metals are removed by neutralizing the DMSO liquid mixture containing the hydroxides of alkali metals followed by distillation.
