Title:
METHOD FOR REFILLING REFRIGERANT IN AIR CONDITIONING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04273957
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To facilitate the recovery and filling of refrigerant by a method wherein the refrigerant in an indoor machine is sent into an outdoor machine by cooling operation, a refrigerant pipe on gas side is connected to an outside condenser and heating operation is performed to recover the refrigerant in the outdoor machine in the outside condenser, the refrigerant is added to the recovered one until its predetermined amount is reached and cooling operation is performed to fill it in an air conditioning machine.

CONSTITUTION: A compressor 4 is driven with a packed valve 10a on liquid side set at a position for isolating an indoor machine 1a and an outdoor machine 1b from each other and with a four-way valve 5 set at a cooling position. In this way refrigerant is sent from the indoor machine 1a to a heat exchanger 6 on outdoor side. The cooling operation is stopped with a packed valve 10b on gas side set at a position for isolating the indoor and outdoor machines. A refrigerant pipe on the side of the indoor machine 1a is disconnected from the packed valve 10b. A pipe 23 for recovering and filling refrigerant is connected to a service port part 11c to evacuate a refrigerant recovery tank 21 and heating operation is performed to recover the refrigerant of the outdoor side heat exchanger 6 in the tank 21. After adding the refrigerant to this recovered one until its predetermined amount is reached, the cooling operation is performed to refill the refrigerant.
