Title:
METHOD FOR REMOVING NITROGEN OXIDES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3513162
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent plugging in the inside and tip of a nozzle by a solid reducing agent or the reaction product and to stably and continuously spray an aq. solution of the solid reducing agent into waste gas by previously cooling the nozzle by allowing least one of water or gas to pass before starting to supply with the solid reducing agent aq. solution.
CONSTITUTION: The solid reducing agent is mixed with the waste gas by spraying the solid reducing agent (e.g. urea) aq. solution 23 into the flow of the waste gas in the duct 2 to selectively reduce and remove nitrogen oxides in the waste gas in the presence of a catalyst. In this case, the nozzle 1 is cooled by previously allowing at least one of water 31 or the gas 21 (e.g. air) to pass before starting to supply with the solid reducing agent aq. solution to the nozzle 11. As a result, the clogging of the nozzle 11 is prevented at the time of start-up and/or stop of denitration equipment.
