Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for repairing the lining refractories of a molten iron vessel in which mixture solidification matters principally comprising unwrought products and slug are removed completely in a short time and a repair layer exhibiting rigid adhesion can be formed on the surface side of the lining refractories.
SOLUTION: In the method for repairing the lining refractories 71 of a molten iron vessel 11 comprising a first step for removing mixture solidification matters 12 principally comprising unwrought products and slug and adhering to the surface side of the lining refractories 71 of the molten iron vessel 11 thus exposing the surface, side of the lining refractories 71, and a second step for repairing the lining refractories by applying a refractory repairing material exhibiting corrosivity to a damaged part on the surface side of the lining refractories 71, a powder cutting machine 24a using iron powder 29, 34 as a combustion material is employed for removing the mixture solidification matters 12 and a mechanical carrying means using no air or gas carrying means 40a and 55a using oxygen as carrying fluid is employed as means for transporting the iron powder 29, 34 to the cutting torch 24 of the powder cutting machine 24a.
