Abstract:

To smooth an abrasive surface for a new abrasive cloth before using in the grinding in a short time.

This smoothing jig for the abrasive cloth to be used in grinding the surface of a substrate for a magnetic disk with a plated film formed thereon by feeding an abrasive solution thereto comprises a disk having a plurality of long holes 4a and 4b in the surface thereof, and the long holes 4a and 4b are formed radially with respect to a center thereof.
