Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable starting in a short time and safely when starting an electrostatic precipitator in a high humidity atmosphere.
SOLUTION: When washing operation is done, a controller 6 turns off a solenoid valve 8 to close a damper 3 and also opens a solenoid valve 10 to spray water from a washing nozzle 4 and start washing and at the same time, it stops charging to an electrode 2. When washing action is done for a prescribed time, the controller 6 turns off the solenoid valve 10 to finish the washing operation and causes rated DC high voltage to be continuously outputted from a DC high voltage power source 5. At this time, the controller 6 checks voltage applied to the electrode 2 and an electric current, and when the electric current is not more than a set upper limit electric current value and the applied voltage rises to the rated voltage, high voltage is intermittently outputted from the DC high voltage power source 5 at preset prescribed time intervals, and when the electric current becomes within a range set as the rated values, a continuous charging state is made and also a solenoid valve 8 is turned on to open a damper 3, thereby making a normal operation state.
