Abstract:
To synthesize a gas hydrate with a relatively simple process in extremely short time by inducing the nucleation of gas hydrate by coal particles.
A gas hydrate 10 composed of a hydrate of a raw gas and water is synthesized by reacting the raw gas with water. The nucleation of the gas hydrate 10 is induced by coal particles by mixing coal particles with water in an amount of 0.5-50 wt.% of coal based on 100 wt.% of water. The coal particles contain particles of one or more kinds of coal selected from brown coal, peat and sub-bituminous coal. The raw gas is natural gas or a gas containing one or more kinds of gas selected from methane gas, ethane gas, propane gas and butane gas.
