Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for optimizing a fuel consumption of a two stroke diesel engine having a plurality of cylinders.SOLUTION: At least one exhaust contained amount parameter, selected from carbon monoxide CO, carbon dioxide CO, dioxygen O, hydrocarbon HC, total hydrocarbon THC, nitrogen oxide NO, sulfur oxide SO, is measured. A compression pressure is changed so that a fuel consumption is optimized on the basis of a characteristic relationship of a brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) and the exhaust contained amount parameter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
