Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and rapidly transport coils carried out of a rolling line to the required position in a coil yard and to automatically distribute them. SOLUTION: To this equipment, the coil 8 carried out from coilers 6, 7 on the rolling line 3 is placed on a relay coil-station 15, next, the coil 8 is held by elevating a lifter of a subsidary truck 23 with the lifter which is loaded on a master truck 24 which is on standby in the coil station 15, transported to the relay coil-station 16 which is provided on the downstream side. The coil 8 is left by lowering the lifter and, after that, the master truck is returned to the relay coil-station on the upstream side. By moving the master truck 24 on which the subsidary truck with the lifter is loaded back and forth between the continued relay coil-stations, the coil 8 is transported.
