Abstract:
To provide a method for easily, quickly and accurately typing gene polymorphism a gene polymorphism, especially an SNP(single nucleotide polymorphism) site, using relatively small amounts of a genomic DNA.
The method for typing a gene polymorphism comprises the step of preparing a ring-opened single-stranded nucleic acid consisting of one or more single-stranded nucleic acids, the step of incubating a specimen and the ring-opened single-stranded nucleic acid in such a condition that the ring-opened single-stranded nucleic acid has a stem loop structure and the step of further incubating the above-incubated specimen and one or more primers complementary to part of one or more loops of the stem loop structure.
