METHOD FOR UNIFORMLY INTEGRATING SOLID CHARGE WITHIN POROUS SUBSTRATE

PURPOSE: To uniformly integrate a solid charge within a substrate by making a slurry pass through the substrate several times at the time of impregnating the slurry containing the solid charge by adding pressure difference to the substrate.
CONSTITUTION: The slurry containing the solid charge in the state of finely divided particles dispersed in a carrier liquid. A fiber-like texture 20 of composite material component being the substrate is arranged between two sheets of rough screens 24 consisting of effective metallic plate within a closely sealed container 22. Then, a valve 36 is closed, a valve 40 is opened to evacuate the inside of the container 22 through an absorbing pipe 38 and next the valve 36 is opened to feed the slurry from an introduction pipe 34 to a chamber 30. The slurry is forcedly made to pass through the substrate 22 by evacuation continuously given to the inside of the room 32. After the lapse of a necessary time, the valve 40 is closed and pistons 26 and 28 are simultaneously set to forcedly make the substrate 22 pass through the slurry in successively opposite directions two times.
