Abstract:

To orientate and position the position of a cutting surface to a target uniquely by further improving an electric adjustment drive part for the microtome.

A microtome 1 is provided with an electric adjustment drive part 2 for forming the relative move between a target 7 to be cut and a cutting knife 4. The microtome is provided with a control circuit 8 and a pressure- sensitive sensor 9 for detecting the position between the cutting knife 4 and the target 7. When the sensor 9 responds, the electric feed drive part 2 is switched via the control circuit 8. The sensor 9 has a sensor surface 14, the sensor surface is at least in accurately the same size as that of the surface of the target 7, and the sensor surface 14 is arranged in parallel with the cutting surface 17.
