To provide a missile guiding device capable of effectively reducing adverse effects caused by pointing errors and of enhancing accuracy of fire.
A point where a pointing error Δ between a beam spread angle (Q) and a beam indicating angle (λ) is minimized is measured beforehand. In accordance with threshold value determination based on a relative distance R with a target, a guide mode is switched to two modes which are a remote mode and a proximity mode. In the remote mode, all transmitting/receiving modules of an electronic scanning type antenna are made to function to obtain a receiving gain, and a continuous beam indicating angle λ is provided to orient a beam to the target. In the proximity mode, the beam indicating angle λ is fixed to a point near the beam indicating angle λ calculated immediately before the switching to the proximity mode, only part of the transmitting/receiving modules is made to function, and the angle of the beam is widened by using an antenna element at the center of an antenna array face.
