To achieve economic effects and/or energy saving, reduction in running cost and the like, with respect to each of conventional greenhouse ventilation/cooling devices, such as a cooling method or a cooling device for controlling temperature and humidity, uniformizing distribution of temperature and humidity and saving energy and a ventilation method or a ventilation device for sending air within a greenhouse in an approximately horizontal direction relative to the longitudinal direction and in a wide region, securing expansion etc. of an air sending region and achieving reduction in air blowing quantity and the volume of a fan etc.
In this ventilation method using evaporative cooling of a greenhouse, an insect screen passage is constituted within the greenhouse by insect screens stretched in a plurality of ventilation ports of the greenhouse and insect screens provided on one end face leaving an interval. A first ventilation fan is arranged on one end face of the greenhouse and a second ventilation fan 8 is arranged on the other end face. A low pressure air sending region is formed in the insect screen passage, and outside air is induced from the ventilation ports for ventilation. A water-absorbing porous pad is provided at an interval formed on one end face.
