Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the subject polypropylene composed of a soft PP, an unsaturated carboxylic acid (derivative) and an organic peroxide at specific ratios and having excellent adhesivity, heat-resistance, low-temperature impact strength and moldability. CONSTITUTION:The objective PP is composed of (A) 100 pts.wt. of a soft PP [e.g. a PP polymer consisting of 10-90wt.% of a PP having an intrinsic viscosity of >=1.2dl/g and soluble in boiling heptane and 90-10wt.% of a PP having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.5-9.0dl/g and insoluble in boiling heptane], (B) 0.2-15 pts.wt. (preferably 0.5-10 pts.wt.) of an unsaturated carboxylic acid (derivative) (preferably maleic anhydride) and (C) 0.01-0.5 pt.wt. (preferably 0.03-0.3 pt.wt.) of an organic peroxide (preferably having a decomposition temperature of 90-130 deg.C, e.g. dicumyl peroxide).
