Abstract:
PURPOSE: To accurately analyze the cause of a failure in molding by detecting the position of a screw during a dwell process.
CONSTITUTION: A screw 15 in a heating cylinder 11 is moved forward and backward by driving an electrically-driven servo motor 22. In an injection process, the screw 15 is controlled by speed and position. In a dwell process, the screw 15 is controlled by pressure and time. The position of the screw 15 is detected through a pulse generator. The detected position is stored in a storage means 27 and indicated on a display for several minutes or more.
