PURPOSE: To obtain the molding material comprised of a novolak type phenolic resin and a specific layered complex material of hexanethylene tetramine, having both of good flow stability at a plasticization temperature and rapid curing property at a region of curing temperature together with a markedly good molding property.

CONSTITUTION: A molding material comprised of a novolak type phenolic resin and hexamethylene tetramine, where hexamethylene tetramine is combined as a layered complex material where it is loaded among layers of an ion exchanging layered inorganic compound. The layered complex material is made as 10μm or less in its particle diameter, and is complexed with a cray mineral and a phosphoric acid salt.
