Title:
MOLDING METHOD OF SYNTHETIC RESIN HOLLOW BENT PIPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5919111
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled pipe excellent in strength, stiffness, etc., by laminating reinforcing fibers around the outer circumference of a synthetic resin pipe, impregnating the laminated fibers with a resin liquid, inserting a plastic rodlike member into said pipe, and molding said pipe, without breaking said fibers when molds are closed.

CONSTITUTION: For instance, reinforcing fibers 2 (e.g. braided fibers of carbon, etc.) are laminated around the outer circumference of the synthetic resin pipe 1, the fibers are impregnated with a thermosetting resin liquid 4, and then plastic rold like members 8, 8 are inserted into the synthetic resin pipe 1. Then after the synthetic resin pipe 1 is bent in conformity with the configuration of a mold 9, the bent resin pipe 1 is put in the mold 9 followed by heating toset, and after the molding the rodlike members 8 and withdrawn from the synthetic resin pipe to obtain the desired bent pipe.

EFFECT: The bent pipe is excellent in durability against fatigue and can withstand deterioraing.

USE: Useful as stabilizers for vehicles.
