To provide a molding using ≥30 wt.% bean curd refuse and having biodegradability by which it is thoroughly degraded in the ground and does not affect the natural environment and to provide a production method by which such moldings can easily be produced in large quantities at a low production cost with an inexpensive space-saving general apparatus which is reasonably introduced even by a small retail tofu maker so as to treat bean curd refuse.
A kneader (commercially available table mixer) is prepared and 580 g raw bean curd refuse (commercially available bean curd refuse), 300 g calcium sulfate powder (prepared by WAKO JUNYAKU KOGYO Co., Ltd. in Osaka-shi), 100 g 10% solution of potassium chloride (sold at a pharmacy) and 20 g brewed vinegar are put in the kneader and kneaded for about 5 min. The kneaded material is put in molding tools giving a cup shape after molding, and after the lapse of about 12 hr, the resulting moldings are released from the molding tools, put in a drying equipment and dried at about 50°C. After the lapse of about 60 min, the moldings are pulled out and shipped as disposable raising seedling pots.
